Lindsay Ridgeway's reference blog, a compilation of ideas for training retrievers for US field competition without the use of electronic collars, heeling sticks, or other physical aversives. The term "2Q" means that Lindsay tries to limit his training to only two of the four Operant Conditioning quadrants, adding or subtracting rewarding stimuli. In practice, however, 2Q training means training without physical aversives, and the dog may still learn some skills as avoidance behaviors.
